The
Belgian warmblood stallion Saros van het Gestelhof is receiving higher
scores every competition this season. At the CDN Schilde last weekend,
Saros van het Gestelhof received the almost magical 69.25% leaving second
placed Marina van Camp behind him with a 6.37% (!!) difference. More
weird judging was to be seen in the Grand Prix. Judges Leyman and Meersman
did not go "N'Sync" at De Brabohoeve. Vicky Smits won the
test receiving 323 points from Meersman, while Leyman only granted her
313. Nor did the judging panel get a consensus in the second placed
Regina Moldan. Meersman gave her 311 while Leyman saw much more in this
Austrian rider and gave her 323. The judges' dualistic view climaxed
in Carmen van Ingelgem's scores. Meersman offered her 306 points but
Leyman placed her first with 325 points. Despite the huge differences
in points did the top four scores ranged between 63.70 and 62.40%
