Philippe Jorissen Takes a New Turn in Life

AbanosBelgian dressage riders performed surprinsingly well at the 2002 Aachen Stallion Gala, a special dressage competition for breeding sires. Two Belgian riders were represented at the Soers in Aachen, Germany, for this prestigious stallion event.

The newly formed combination Stefan van Ingelgem and Karsten van de Zuuthoeve were entered at Prix St Georges level and placed fifth twice with 65.3% (PSG) and a very nice 68.52% which is a definite improvement with their go two days before the stallion gala at the Belgian CDI selection trial.

Very interesting were the performances of former Prix St Georges champion Philippe Jorissen who seems to have taken a new turn in life. Jorissen was well represented at the Aachen Stallion Gala as he seemed to have brought the complete St Ludwig Stallion Barn with him. With very decent performances througout all age class, Jorissen made an impression aboard the St Ludwig mounts. Especially aboard St Ludwig's Abanos (Alabaster x Futuro) he scored high. Jorissen has been appointed head dressage trainer of the German St Ludwig Stallion Station is now fully in charge of the training and showing of all dressage stallions of St Ludwig.
