Yet another big blow for the Belgian junior riders. Melodie Michaux lost her Tobino van de Zuuthoeve this weekend, also due to a severe colic attack.

On June 2, the Belgian warmblood Tobino got a severe colic attack and was transported to the veterinary clinic where he was operated on. Though Tobino came well out of surgery, the damage to the intestins was too severe and on June 3 he had to be put down.

Melodie Michaux and Tobino were the 2005 Belgian Junior Riders Dressage Champions and were an anchor combination on the Belgian junior riders team.

In one month time, Belgium lost two of its junior riders team horses. Thibault Vandenberghe had to put down his Priam del Trinidad due to colic only one month ago. Now Belgian Dressage loses Tobino as well.
