The Belgian Young Rider team and one individual junior rider travelled to Stadl Paura, Austria, to participate in the 2006 European Junior and Young Riders Championships.

Junior Rider Anouck Hoet achieved 66.250% (14th place) in the team test and 64.750% (24th place) in the individual test.

The Young Riders team, consisting of Alexandra Lewal, Julie de Deken, Leslie Goethals and Fanny Verliefden, placed sixth in the nations' cup. Young Riders Leslie Goethals and Julie de Deken qualified for the Individual Finals - Kur to Music. Goethals ranked 11th with 67.600% and Julie de Deken 13th with 67.350%.

The Belgian team. Melodie Michaux, a Belgian junior who qualified for the junior team but who had to give up because of the untimely passing of her horse Tobino, travelled to Stadl Paura to support her team mates.
