The Master Ludanchelo, Daianira van de Helle and Rubins Figaro have won the 2004 Belgian FEI Young Horse Dressage Championship in Flemalle.
The initial plan was to reinstate the prestigious Belgian YH Championship at Gesves, the only top (young horse) event that ever existed in Belgium. But, unfortunately due to construction works at the equestrian centre in Gesves, the championships moved to another location, in Flemalle.
The field of competitors was pathetically small, but what would one expect if you hold a Classic Circuit for Young Horses with a finals three weeks before the actuall championships. Young Horses are exhausted and have no power left for an actual championship that is held at the end of the show season in November. No wonder! Nevertheless, the competition in Flemalle was interesting and there were some heavy duelling between the first and second placed horse in each division
