A nice group of competitors has registered for the very first Belgian Pikeur Trophy Qualifier held at the CDN Schilde June 8, 2003. The Pikeur Trophy is a Dutch-Belgian show circuit for riders below the age of 29 that compete at Prix St Georges level. With two qualifiers in Belgium, and five in The Netherlands, the Pikeur Trophy wants to gather the best young Prix St Georges riders in Belgium and Holland. The semi-finals and finals at the CHIO Rotterdam (August 28-30) will determine the winner of the 2003 Pikeur Trophy.

The first two qualifiers of the 2003 Pikeur Trophy take place June 8. In Belgium there is one at the Brabohoeve in Schilde, the Dutch qualifier is located in Zelhem.

16 Belgian Prix St Georges riders have registered for the challenge in Schilde. The group is mainly constituted by current and former young riders. Entered to compete are: Tom Franckx (Fortuin Z), Vicky Smits (Quavarotti vd Helle), Peter Spahn (Adel), Els Govaerts (Ratchina), Ona Dewagenaere (Mircodion), Virginie Deltour (Newton Millesime), Delphine Meiresonne (Habibi), Kara Bosman (Rapsode), Joeri Compte (Bolero de Chine), Patricia Ivens (Laurentis Sandor), Benjamin de Reus (Silence vh Prinsenhof), Philippe Geeroms (Hertog), Arnaud Reper (Fortissimo), Hannelore Volders (Jakko), Domien Michiels (Narengo) and Helen Wielockx (Mister Ed).
