At the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, the Belgian delegation was tormented by a series of highs and lows. Sophie Baetens/van Lent's Dark Diamant did not pass the vet check for a start. Vicky Smits not take Weltstein vd Helle to the championships, although the horse was qualified. Guido Indencleef's Odysseus got injured in the first qualifying test and Stefan van Ingelgem's Dom Perignon disappointed at this international competition. Only two horses made it into the finals.
