| Hannelore Volders' Splashing Debut with Jakko |
|
Jakko was purchased in Holland only one month ago through the agency of trainer Wim Verwimp. Volders aims to qualify for the European Junior Riders Championships with this new mount. Second placed in the junior riders' division was Valerie Verellen with her Hanoverian gelding Wise Guy van de Zuuthoeve. Verellen is the only junior rider who scored 63% or higher twice and is, therefore, qualified to participate at the CDI-JR competitions. The same quotum was met by young rider Tom Franckx on his chestnut gelding Hopje van Duinoord. Junior Riders Young Riders

Hopje van Duinoord - 63.55% Riders selected for the CDI-J/YR Barcelona, Spain, are Valerie Verellen with Wise Guy van de Zuuthoeve (Hannoverian, by Weltmeyer) and Tom Franckx with Hopje van Duinoord (SBS, by Unique II Drum). Ruth van Campen, Hannelore Volders and Isabelle Boost got the minimum qualifying score (63%) only once. They can still qualify for the CDI Barcelona if they ride a score higher than 63% at the first national dressage competition of the 2001 show season (CDN Aalter - 1st April 2001) Image by Dirk Caremans |
