| 2nd Pony Riders' Selection Trial for CDI Participation |
|
Coach Carine Godefroid organized a 2nd selection trial for the Belgian Pony riders at stable De Kraal in Zandhoven. All pony riders had to ride the team championship test and were received their comments afterwards when all riders were gathered in a room to watch the video tape made of their tests. Parents and riders were quite disappointed with the approach of this selection trial. The remarks the pony riders received were constantly negative and unconstructive. The children left the selection trial with a feeling of disappointment and inability. Not the way to go. Pulderbos citizen Lynn Maiburg dominated the second trial with her Dutch Welsh pony Meerke's Kashmir. Trained by Leunis van Lieren, Maiburg hopes to get the best results out of her last year as a pony rider. "I thought I had ridden the best test in my life. Kasmhir was very forward and obedient to my aids. The 64.33% score was quite a disappointment to me," Maiburg said ", but we'll try again next time. I don't want to give up." Show Results Judges: The next selection trial will be held at the Verellen stables in Wiekevorst on 25th March 2001. |
