Zagers and Pais Top 63% Quotum at Second CDI Selection Trial

Mio de BaugyAt the second selection trial at Le Chevalerie in Brussels, February 28, 2001, the Belgian senior riders competing at Intermediaire I and Grand Prix level gathered in an attempt to reach 63% to get qualified for CDI participation. Once again, only two riders were able to top that score and that were Johan Zagers in the Grand Prix division and Serge Pais in the Intermediaire I class.

Zagers rode his steady mount Mio de Baugy. This licensed BWP stallion (by Sheyenne de Baugy) has the best impression to judges Meersman, Withages and Leyman at Le Chevalerie. Trained by Hubertus Schmidt, Zagers scored 63.73% with his test.

In the Intermediaire I class former young rider Serge Pais just made the limit of getting 63.00% on his result sheet. Riding Cass, a KWPN descendant by Statuar, Pais topped a field of five riders.
