| Selection Criteria for Junior and Young Riders for CDI competitions and the European Championships 2001 |

During the official
meeting of the Dressage Commission on February 8, 2001, it has been
decided that Belgian junior and young riders have to score 63% at a
selection trial or a national competition, in order to qualify for international
dressage shows (CDI's). The 63% score has to be reached in the "FEI
Individual test" of their category. It is also obliged to participate in at least 3 out of 5 selection trials and 2 national competitions to qualify for possible participation at the European Championships. Scores attained have to be minimum 63% twice and once 65% at a selection trial or CDN show in the individual test. A special selection
trial for the European Championships will be organised in May and June,
and a one-week training session early July 2001. The next selection

trials will be The data for the trials of May and June have not yet been determined The riders who can not attend the session 11th April are allowed to set a different, but agreeable date in April. Qualified candidates for the CDI shows will be presented to the Dressage Commission by the chef d'equipe. It is the Dressage Commission who eventually determines the team. The Royal Belgian Equestrian Federation will sponsor the feess for transportation, accommodation and participation at the European Championships.
