Power Black du Sart Sold to Veronique de Baecker

Veronique de BaeckerBelgian Prix St Georges rider Veronique de Baecker has purchased the black gelding Power Black du Sart from the Raemdonck family. Power Black, a BWP bred Donnerhall descendant, was owned and competed by Lawrence Raemdonck from Zele. Veronique de Baecker has plans to show this mount at Prix St Georges level while she will be moving up to Grand Prix level with her KWPN gelding Herrzas.

With the sale of Power Black, the Raemdoncks' equestrian reign has come to a final end. Brother and sister Lawrence and Dorothy Raemdonck were once highly decorated FEI pony level riders with ponies Valentino and Destry. Both riders moved up to the junior and young riders level with horses Ilias, Mozart and Power Black.

The latter mount has been property of the Raemdonck family since the he was a youngster. Trainer Peter Peters competed Power Black in the Belgian Young Horse Championships in Gesves approximately five years ago. Lawrence Raemdonck used the horse as young riders mount for a while, but after sister Dorothy quit riding to spend time to her college career (physical therapist), Lawrence also decided to stop riding and opened a store of his own.
