Nector van het Carlshof in Training with Michael Klimke

The Belgian warmblood gelding Nector van het Carlshof is currently in trianing with German dressage rider Michael Klimke. Without a doubt Nector (by Randel Z out of Laika (by Lombard) is the best Grand Prix horse the Belgian dressage world has produced during the 90's.

Born in 1990, Nector rose to moderate stardom under the Belgian LRV rider Herman Nyssen. He later on came in training with Jan Dupont. It was in his barn "Dressuurstal Nobelstede" in Aalter, that the Australian Christine Doan first noticed the highly talented Nector. Together with a partner in Australia, Doan purchased Nector and continued training with Jan Dupont. The change from Dupont to Michael Klimke was made only quite recently as the pair was still being coached by Dupont during the Australian Olympic Qualifier trials in Europe, July 2000.

Klimke will be showing Nector while Doan is residing in Australia. The combination was scheduled to compete in the Rolinck Cup at the CDI Munster, Germany, but unfortunately withdrew from the show.
