After a series of qualifier training sessions, national competitions and international dressage shows, chef d'equipe Leo Joosten selected the Belgian Junior Riders' team for the 2001 European Dressage Championships for Junior Riders in Iserlohn, Germany, July 18 - 22, 2001. Based on the produced scores, Joosten invited the following riders to represent their country at Iserlohn

• Arno Reper with Fortissimo (horse pictured with trainer in saddle)
• Ruth Van Campen : Cappriccio
• Valérie Verellen : Wise Guy
• Hannelore Volders : Jakko
• Reserve : Domien Michiels : Narengo
