| Provisional Standing "Cup of Belgium" Young Dressage Horses |

With four out of seven trials ridden, a provisional standing points out that Dominique Mohimont, Vicky Smits and Stefan van Ingelgem are currently in the lead in the "Cup of Belgium" for Young Dressage Horses. Corry Verbocht, chairman of the Duke of Newcastle Dressage Club, which is the pumping organization behind this special young horse show circuit, keeps track of the results and presented the following provisional standing. In the 4-year-old division Liege citizen Dominique Mohimont is in the lead with Phoenix. The duo scored 308.4 points in total after four shows, hosted at Vliermaalroot, Duffel, Dendermonde and Overijse. Ingrid Daeleman covers a provisional second place with 296.6 points. Daeleman is riding the German bred Remember. Erwin van Hove and Chivas Regal follow Daeleman closely in third position with 296.4 points. Werner van den Brande with Pompadour W (4th pl - 293.3 pts), Philippe Jorissen with Ufano (5th place - 285.4 pts) and Walter Blockx with Urana van Ten Bosch (6th place - 259.0 pts) further fill up the 4-year-olds' standing. In the 5-year-old class it is former Young Rider Vicky Smits who dominates strongly with two mounts bred by her employer Stoeterij van de Helle. Aboard the Rhinelander dapple grey Pava Jr. van de helle (by Pavarotti vd Helle), Smits covers first place with 310.4 points. With the Hanoverian Weltmeyer son, Weltstein van de Helle, Smits places second with 309.1 points. Stefan van Ingelgem and Dom Perignon are third placed with 305.5 points. Guido Indencleef with Odysseus (4th place - 284.3 pts), Stefan Hollanders with Tweltmeyer (5th place - 276.3 pts), Ingrid Daeleman with Tobino van de Zuuthoeve (6th place - 272.6 pts) follow closely. In the 6-year-old division the Belgian warmblood approved breeding stallion Saros van het Gestelhof covers a highly dominant first position with 326.3 points. Bred and owned by Louis van Gestel from Meerhout, Belgium, Saros van het Gestelhof (by Ramiro) is ridden and trained by Stefan van Ingelgem. The elegant German bred Dark Diamant (by Davignon) ridden by owner Sophie Baetens/van Lent is currently in second position with 318.3 points. Helen Wielockx rode the Westfalian Mister Ed (by Montmartre) to a third spot in the standing. Mister Ed collected 282.9 points. Ingrid Daeleman with Acapulco (4th place - 280.9 pts), Tom Franckx with Doncaster (5th place - 279.0 pts) and Ronny Coenraeds with Bolero van het Vreehof (6th place - 249.5 pts) can be considered as the leading combinations in the standing. Three more trials will be ridden before the finals are held during the Belgian Dressage Weekend in Het Azelhof in Lier the last weekend of October. Zwijnaarde (Sept 2), Seneffe (Sept 9) and Moorsele (Oct 6) will be the last locations of competition in the Cup of Belgium for Young Dressage Horses. |
