| Achievements to Dream About
Noble
Casper is the pony of your dreams. With his incredible list of achievements
he has proven to be the best dressage pony that Europe offers these days.
Noble Casper was part of 1996 Dutch Pony Team at the European Pony Championships
in Achselschwang, Germany, where he won the silver team medal with
his former rider Muis Schreuder. As Muis turned 16 that year, Casper was
sold to Belgium and come in ownership of the Meiresonne family
Trained by the Dutch Coby van Baalen (rider of Olympic Ferro) Delphine
and Casper
made rapid progress and became bGuelders and KNF Champion in Holland (Z1
level) within months. In 1997 Delphine was the best pony rider in her country
winning competition after competition with scores round 65% and 68%. Because
of this phenomenal debut the pair was automatically selected to represent
Belgium at the European Pony Championships in Hartpury, England. Delphine
was the only Belgian rider who made it to the finals at the Championships.
Placing 11th in the individual rankings, she and Casper started off very
well their first year together. One month later the combination became
Belgian Pony Dressage Champion in Waregem.
1998
became the highlight year of Casper. During the Belgian summer show season,
Delphine was unbeatable, riding scores up to 74% at notable national competitions.
As a result of six weeks intense training at Coby van Baalen's barn, Delphine
became Individual European Dressage
Pony Champion in Le Touquet, France, beating the best German combinations
with their top ponies. The same year she prolonged her national title of
Belgian Champion. As she turned 16 in 1999, Delphine saw her last year
of pony competition coming closer. Again, she was the undisputed winner
at national shows, earning a new place in the Belgian Team as number one
rider. At the 1999 European
Pony Championships Delphine was second in the Preliminary test, third in
the Team Championships test and finally fourth in the Individual test.
"Delphine started her
canter one meter behind X in the individual test, which cost her 10 points
and probably the silver medal," mother Meiresonne explained with regret.
Delphine can no longer compete her pony at international shows as she
turns 17 in 2000. The Meiresonnes are now searching for a good Young Riders'
dressage horse and think it would be better for Casper to find a new owner.
He's only 12 years old and has proven to be Europe's best dressage pony,
he has always been sound and it would be a pity for "him" and a pity for
the international show circuit to "loose" such a talent, that is to say
if he would be retired or just being kept at home. |
| Training and potential
Casper has always been a pleasure to ride. He has a nice and steady
character and shows
great affection to persons. He loves to work, and never lets you down on
competitions. Even though he only needed to show FEI Pony level (Third/Fourth
level) Noble Casper is trained up to Grand Prix. He can do piaffe, passages
and tempi changes are no problem at all. He has a great temper, but can
get hot sometimes; still he remains very rideable, even for children. With
his three excellent basic gaits showing off is no problem. His movements
feature expression, balance and suspension one hardly ever sees. Noble
Casper's gaits are better than the ones of most big dressage horses and
at competitions he easily stands a chance against big warmbloods. Standing
at 14.2 hands high, Noble Casper looks like a big horse but measures a
pony.
Noble Casper is the perfect pony for either European pony riders aspiring
to earn a place in their country's national Pony Team as he virtually guarantees
a team spot due to his showing experience and training level. Or he would
be perfect for American riders that want to take the challenge to compete
a pony at a high level, as Lendon Gray did with Seldom Seen. He would also
be suitable for the smaller female rider who wants to ride high level competitions
with a pony matched for her height.
