Jupiter, King
of the Arena
If
Jupiter has won many children's hearts with his elegant and friendly
looks, he is the pony of many adults dream off due to his three exceptional
gaits! Indeed, Jupiter has no reason to be envious of a big dressage
horse, because his gaits are better than most of them. His flashy appearance
immediately makes him stand out in the ring. He is the "King of the
arena", a title given to him by a journalist of an European Equestrian
magazine, and has a fabulous character and is very rideable.
Thanks to his talent
and potential, Jupiter was the best dressage pony in France from 2000
on. 2000 was for him the year of adaptation to the difficult FEI Dressage
Pony level in Europe. He was then not mature enough to be a serious
competitor in the major international competitions that year, but in
2001 he was considered to be one of the top FEI ponies on the continent.
He
has a great amplitude and a very nice walk (an average of 8 in his tests).
His trot is very rhythmic, energetic and light-footed. His canter is
well jumped and very balanced. Jupiter doesn't move, but flies. He is
more than a pony, he is a friend. "He never lets me down, he gives a
lot of affection and he is so attaching," owner Lequint said. "He
gives everything in competition, and I am sure he will give everything
to his future rider and owner. He will do his best to take him or her
to the top place."
Jupiter is very
sweet but energetic and he is always there at the right moment. He is
an affectionate pony who loves to be cared for and he'll be your key
for participation at international competitions. When Julie Lequint
and her parents bought Jupiter in April 1999, they were impressed by
his three fantastic gaits. Although his previous owner in Holland didn't
do much work with the liver chestnut, they immediately knew that the
pony had a great potential.
Since
arriving in France, Julie and Jupiter has been trained by Philippe et
Marina van den Berghe, both very well known trainers on the international
dressage circuit. Julie, turning 17 in 2002 (and measuring 1m78) can
no longer compete with her pony at international events, and she regrets
having to part with her pony, but given his age, she's sure he will
bring a lot of satisfaction to another young girl or boy wanting to
succeed in international competition.
